How it works
- Finney → Base: The bridge locks TAO on Finney and is designed to mint the corresponding amount of Base TAO.
- Base → Finney: Base TAO is burned before TAO is released on Finney.
Security
- Backing model: Base TAO is designed to be backed 1:1 by TAO locked in the bridge.
- Direct wallet control: Transactions execute through smart contracts; Tortoise Labs does not custody user funds or private keys.
- Cross-chain validation: Chainlink CCIP and its Risk Management Network validate transfers. Recovery from an incomplete transfer depends on the bridge and CCIP procedures.
